About Me
I am Gareth Norgate, an independent mortgage adviser and Estate Planner with over 25 years’ experience in mortgage advice and later life lending. I work with home buyers, homeowners, landlords and later life borrowers, supporting a wide range of needs from straightforward residential mortgages to more complex and specialist cases.
Based in Farnham, I support clients across Surrey and Hampshire, as well as further afield across the UK. I particularly enjoy problem solving and helping people who may have struggled to find suitable mortgage solutions elsewhere.
My approach is calm, transparent and easy to understand. I believe good mortgage advice should give you clarity and confidence, not pressure or confusion.
How I Work
Every client’s situation is different, which is why my approach is always personal and considered. I take the time to understand your circumstances, explain your options clearly and guide you through the mortgage process at a pace that suits you.
I am not tied to any one lender and have access to a wide panel of UK mortgage providers, including specialist lenders. This allows me to focus on finding suitable solutions based on your income, plans and property, rather than fitting you into a standard lending model.
From our initial conversation through to completion, I act as your main point of contact. I manage the application process, liaise with lenders and keep you informed at each stage, so you always know what is happening and what to expect next.
My role is not just to arrange a mortgage, but to help you make informed decisions with confidence, through clear explanations, honest advice and ongoing support.
Fees and Initial Consultation
Your initial consultation is completely free of charge and there is no obligation to proceed. If you choose to move forward with a mortgage application, any broker fee will be discussed clearly in advance and will only become payable if I proceed with a full application on your behalf.
A Personal, Local Service
My office is based in Farnham, Surrey, where I offer face-to-face appointments in a private and welcoming setting. All in-person meetings are by appointment only, ensuring you have dedicated time and privacy.
I also work with clients across Surrey, Hampshire and nearby towns, with appointments available by phone or online for added flexibility.
Whether you prefer to meet in person or talk remotely, the approach remains the same: clear advice, honest guidance and support throughout the process.
